It’s almost time for you to begin your College life but before you move in there are a few things you need to complete. This page outlines important information and instructions for you to prepare for Move in day so make sure you read through carefully. Please complete all necessary forms by the listed deadlines and if you have any questions feel free to reach out.

Residents must read through the College Policies and By-Laws 2 before arriving at College. These documents outline the rules and expectations for all College residents, agreed upon as part of their residential contract.

READ THE ST GEORGE’S COLLEGE POLICIES

ORDER YOUR ACADEMIC GOWN BY JAN 27TH 

An academic gown is worn at Formal Dinners and during compline services. If you choose to attend Formal Dinners you can purchase a gown by ordering it via link on the right by January 27th, and collecting it from Administration when you move in.

Facebook is the primary way that the College Club advertises events and lets residents know about important information. Please add the Secretary (Kieran) and President (Alex) of the College Club or accept their request. Their accounts are linked here.

SUBMIT YOUR COURSE ENROLMENT INFORMATION

Please confirm your university, student number, and course enrolment information using this form for the Dean of Studies. After moving in we can help you set up a course plan, connect you with peers in the same degree, and organise tutoring if needed.

APPLY FOR UWA GYM ACCESS [OPTIONAL]

St George’s College does not have a gym however, we can help arrange gym access at a discounted rate for the UWA Gym which is right across the road.

OTHER KEY INFORMATION 

  • There are Post Code, Public Transport zone, and circumstance requirements that give priority to those that need permits Priority is also given to residents that have completed at least 48 credit points at any university. Without a permit there is no parking. Applying for a permit does not guarantee you a parking bay. For more information please see the Getting Around Perth page on our website.

  • College residents will have access to an On-Site Tutorial Program for a particular selection of UWA Units every semester. During O-Week you will be given further details i.e. how to express interest and participate in the College Tutorial Program.

    Furthermore, you will also be given an opportunity to meet our Dean of Studies, Christiaan. He is responsible for the organisation, allocation and management of aforementioned tutorials.

  • The area you live in at College becomes your tute group. Each tute group has a designated RA (Residential Assistant). They are there to help you throughout the year and run events to help you create bonds within your tute. RAs undergo extensive training including First Aid and Mental Health First Aid and can link you to the right resources or people to talk to if you need it.
