College Signet Rings

‍ ‍A Century in the Making: The College Signet Ring

In 2022 Alex Van Hoek (2020), a resident with a talent for jewellery and a love for the College, created a College signet ring. In it’s first run over a dozen residents commissioned rings in gold and silver, and demand has steadily grown ever since.

Over his next three years at College, Alex offered rings to each new intake of residents, and now that he has graduated, former College residents are still reaching out to ask how they can get their hands on one. This year, he has partnered with current resident Aidan Kirby-Smith to share what has quietly become one of the College's favourite modern traditions with the wider Georgian network.

With the 100th anniversary of the College fast approaching, Alex and Aidan think that a signet ring could be a fitting way to mark the occasion: a small, lasting symbol connecting Georgians across every generation, wherever they've ended up since leaving College.

To purchase a ring, all they need is your ring size, and they will have it cast in a range of alloys of gold, platinum or silver and shipped straight to you!
