St George’s College has a number of unique musical resources available for residents, allowing them to pursue music in ways that are meaningful to them.
Resources available to residents include pianos, baroque instruments, a pipe organ, equipment for amplified instruments, rehearsal spaces and both small and large performance venues.

Concerts
The John Inverarity Music Room is a sound-treated space designed to allow residents to practise at times that suit their university schedules, without having to worry about noise levels.
The room is equipped with a complete drum kit, Kawai RX-2 baby grand piano, Roland electric piano and Manhasset music stands, with additional instruments and resources available on request. The space is large enough to accommodate an eight-piece band, medium-sized chamber ensemble or vocal group.
All current residents are issued with a key to the Resident Music Room and can book the space online.

The College Chapel is a beautiful space that can be booked through the Music Department for private practice, ensemble rehearsals and performances.
The Chapel is suitable for larger ensembles, including chamber orchestras and choral groups, with its layout providing a number of creative performance opportunities.
The Chapel houses a Yamaha U3 upright piano and pipe organ, and can be furnished with additional College resources upon request.

Ruth Rodgers Room
Concerts
Built with Chamber Music in mind, once booked through the Music Department, the Ruth Rodgers Room provides residents with a space private or ensemble practice and performance.
Furnised with a Bechstein Model V Baby Grand Piano, the Ruth Rodgers Room can be set-up to accommodate most performance styles and ensembles.
The Dining Hall

The beating heart of St George’s College, the Dining Hall is an exquisite space that has hosted a wide range of exceptional performances.
Two beautiful instruments are housed in the Dining Hall: a Fazioli F278 concert grand piano and a Mark Stevenson dual-manual harpsichord.
Residents may use both instruments upon approval from the Music Department.
