We were very sad to hear the news of Eugene Lim’s passing in Singapore last week. He was a larger-than-life character who was such an integral part of the College community from 2003-2010 and it’s hard to believe that he is gone.
To celebrate his life, a Memorial Service will be held at the College Chapel next Friday 24th April from 4:00pm-4:45pm. It will be followed by drinks and nibbles. Richard Pengelley will preside at the Memorial, and John Inverarity will also be in attendance. We are hoping to be able to livestream the Memorial for those who are not able to attend – details of this will be emailed out next week. And, as was the dress code for his wake and funeral in Singapore, please come in colours, bright, vibrant and not black and white.
• If you know of Georgians who would like to attend, please do let them know. Information about the Memorial Service has been emailed out to everyone who lived at College 2003-2010 - but we don’t have email addresses for everyone.
• For catering purposes, please could you drop a quick email to Jo Evans jevans@stgc.uwa.edu.au , to let her know if you are planning to attend.
• A slideshow is being put together – if you have any photos you would like to contribute please email them to jevans@stgc.uwa.edu.au or add them via the folders on Drop Box and Google Drive if that’s easier – just email Jo and she will send you an invitation to the folders. If you have a Google account, this link should work for the Google Drive https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WZ4n3hJErY83kuZE3kfBJooUgZ-jLhAy?usp=sharing The slideshow will be added to the College website after the Memorial.
