Join us in the College Chapel for a special candlelit concert of musical reflections and text readings on the themes of Good Friday. Latin for Darkness, Tenebrae services at Easter are characterised by the gradual extinguishing of candles to the point of total darkness. This concert offers an artistic exploration of the dark and mystifying themes embedded in the Tenebrae service. The voices of the St George's College Consort will perform selections of Gesualdo's Tenebrae Responsoria along with other pieces by Weelkes and Purcell.
